    Tire totes

Found these tire totes @ Jegs. They are very easy to put on (Velcro) and have handles sewn into them. Basically 10.00 each. Great for storing your tires on a shelf. This way the black doesn't touch the red line and stain them either. Just thought I'd throw this out there.

    Back in Action

Hello Everyone! Sorry to have been gone so long. Just took a break. Solid Gold is still intact (Somewhat.) The last two shows of the season, my hood slammed shut all by itself. (Very Dangerous) I can tell you those were the only 2 parts(hinges) that I did nothing to in 2010. They were deemed OK...

    In The Clutch

Went thru 45 pages of Tech Stuff looking for recommendations of clutches. Might have missed it. Anyways, when Solid Gold was rebuilt,a less than standard clutch was installed. I never did like it. Had to put an extra spring on it for the pedal to return. What brand do you all run? I don't race...

    Oil Pan Plug Blues

Is there any way to fix an oil pan plug that just won't seal? I bought a new 402 pan and cannot get it not to drip. Already tried different gaskets. It's just a plug issue. Thanks.

    One for the team

Solid Gold went over to the Ellis Grove, Il. Fire Dept. Show Sunday. About 100 miles round trip. Car ran great. :drive: About 175 cars or so, and was awarded the BIGGEST trophy I have ever seen. I feel I represent all you Mopar guys out there. We must keep those 70 Chevelles' from winning...

    My Classic Car

Went to a show today and had a photo op with a "Classic Guy". I knew he was going to be there so, I wore my Moustache shirt instead of my 69 Road Runner.net shirt. He thought it (and the car was pretty cool.) I never asked him a question though.

    Joined The Team!

Got one of those Plymouth Performance Team stickers and installed it. Not sure about putting stickers on my car, BUT, it's all about the fun! Got a BEEP BEEP plate for the front too. Pre-1972 cars from Missouri with year plate (69) can run a vanity plate in front. I have different ones and...

    Transmission leaks

Do all 4-speeds drip? (leak) Mine is leaking in front and in back a little. I took it (the car) back to the shop yesterday who rebuilt it, put it on the rack and looked at it. He said if he pulled it out, rebuilt it again, it would still drip a little. He said that hole in the inspection plate...

    Nice ole' Truck

Went to a car cruise Friday night in Saint Louis County. I ran into a member there. I had my T-shirt on and we got talking. That was pretty cool! Got a pic of how crowded it was and 2 shots of (I think) a 38 Plymouth Truck. 440 in there, not no Ford or Cbevie! Seems we are not bothered by 4.00...

Solid Gold is having her (its) carb rebuilt. It ran OK, but, it was on my list that did not get done during the resto. It is a Carter AVS #4425S. Looking up the no.,it says this carb is for a 340 A/T. I'd like to know if this right? Also, what is difference between a A/T and an MT carb.(I know...
