I swear I used to see them for sale now all I can find are the rallye speedometers. Mine is out of wack. I pulled it out and the coil attached to the needle that I assume should be held in place once calibrated isn't... So the needle just flops around. I saw a couple places online that will...
So I've been busy getting the 498 ready to drop into my satty but I've started to get worried about breaking my 8 3/4 rear and wondering about other options. Since the rear still needs rebuilt, a suregrip and gears... I'm looking at more then a grand to have it rolling and started to wonder if I...
I need to get my new engine in my car one of these days and still have a few parts to order... I'm just wondering what brand / companies I should go with?
I still need a converter.. someone said have turbo action build one? How are dynamic converters? They built the tranny if that makes a...
Trying to figure out which carb to stick on this bad boy of an engine. It had a Demon 850 cfm on the dyno but I'm not sure thats the best for a street/strip combo, so I'm just wondering what you guys think. It is a 498ci stroker 10.5 comp, alum heads, Indy single plane intake. It made 626hp and...
I wanna make sure I have this right. Curretly I have a 318/904 in my satellite and I know I need a shorter drive shaft when the 440/727 gets dropped in. I also am told the 8 3/4 rear requires a different length than the 8 1/4"? Does 51.5" sound right for a 69' 440/727 8 3/4 set up?
Thanks,
~Nick
So before I even finished building the 383 I have decided to just go with a 440. Parts are cheaper and I'll reach my goal easier with the extra cubes... besides who doesn't want to say they have a 440 under the hood? :drive:
ignore the messy garage... 440's on the right.
anyways the pistons...
Who runs an engine plate? I am shopping for one and I have hit a bump. I will be running power steering and it seems like I've only come across one company who sells one precut for power steering... I don't have everything in front of me so I'm wondering how hard would it be to modify a plate...
Hey guys,
I posted awhile back about picking up my 383, well now I'm trying to decide what parts to start buying for it... That's where you guys with all your experience come in :). It's a 68' 383 906 heads, originally 2bbl IIRC. I have talked to a couple people who have given me similar advice...
So I hadn't driven my car for a week or so and last I remember I though I had 1/2 a tank well I got in and noticed I was out of gas... So I went to the station and it only took 11 gallons... I knew something was up.. got back in and it still read empty... So I now know that my gauge is bad...
Hey guys,
been awhile since I've visited, just been busy lately...
Anyways, What do you guys think about this combo in my auto 69' satellite.
440ci
KB Hypereutectic pistons 10.1
ported 452 heads
Edelbrock Torker intake
Duration 282/292, Lift .465/.488
Hooker Super Comp headers with...
Ok guys so i bought those cheap ones at Advance auto in the spring, after a week they rusted to hell and now it looks like crap. So i guess i need to buy something better. Which are the way to go?
Hey guys,
As the title says i have a question about the bezels, I bought some better looking tail light bezels at Carlisle but one has red primer and scuffed on the textured surface So i wanted to sand the texture away and respray them, If that makes sense** But i have no idea what type of paint...
Hey guys I'm really frustrated with this short I have. Here's what happened I was messing with my brake pedal because it wouldn't come up enough to turn out the brake lights, I had the key turned to the left so I could listen to the radio well I lifted the pedal somewhat hard because I was...
Hey guys, So yesterday as i was driving to work i noticed my brakes were somewhat spongy. I decided to go to continue to work and worry about it later, well i forgot about it til i went to leave and i think it got worst, at 35mph i could push it all the way to the floor and it just felt like i...

Hi guys,
I just found this site during a google search and i was wondering if anyones used them? I've heard horror stories about hoods not lining up or needing alot of work. So i thought i would check and see if these hoods are any good? The price is right but that usually needs more work on my...
Hey guys,
I have a few questions about my 4 barrel carburetor.
First off the car is running rich (Smell gas and lots of smoke along with poor mpg) i'm not having very good luck fixing it. I will admit i don't know much about tuning a carb so i am kind of taking shots in the dark when i try to...
Hey I found some nice cragers off a chevy, but i can't remember what the bolt pattern is on my car, Isn't it 4.5x5?
Also I remember asking someone awhile back about how wide i could go on the back with a stock wheel housing and they told me i should be able to fit 10" with the right backspacing...
Hey guys just tossing this idea around in my head, are there any modern trans that would drop in with out many problems. Just thinking with a new trans 4speed auto? Might improve in mpg and 1/4mile, and I figured one might be had for decent price at the junk yard. While keeping a carb'd big...
Hey guys my name is Nick, I'm 19, some of you may know me from forbbodiesonly as 69clone. if not I'll fill you in, I bought my 69' Satellite last May then when the summer came around I threw on the roadrunner decals and emblems, planned to clone it all along, it was a TN car and very solid when...
