OK, so we know that Chrysler stamped the rad core support with the VIN, and also stamped the VIN in the trunk area under the weather stripping. Question, was that stamping at the trunk location consistent? In other words, would 70 owners luck up and find the mystical VIN under the weather stripping in the same location each and every time?:suspicion:

yes. RR would be easy to cheat on since vin is in the dash and that is removable and could be put in another car. That's why you need to look at radiator and trunk, if they are not present then its a good chance this car is using a donor body.
I see it on the rad core support but haven't zeroed in on the trunk. Don't really want to disturb the weather stripping if I'm not certain where to look. Suggestions...

under the trunklid weatherstrip on the drivers side about midway

you can sometimes see it from the inside of the trunk, of course it will read upside down.
