Classic told me after a lot of questions that they are different because of the rear windows.

Is it necessary to remove rear package tray to install sail panels?

I appreciate your assistance. Classic's statements confused the issue considerably.

Yep should not be any thing to unbolt on the package tray should fit. That is what I thought all along. Thanks to 69Hemiebeep. I still have questions to ask as long as the restore job is going on. Your buddy Russ. :beep:

After months and countless hours, I have found that the sail panels on 69 Roadrunners is definitely different for coupes and hardtops. Absolutely no one has the correct ones. The closest I found was just the uncovered boards for $90.00. If anyone has any idea where they can be found let me know. For those who told me they were the same, thanks for nothing.

I recently ordered the covered sail panels from Legendary and was not happy with the product different size shape and the velcro to put them up with is a joke. I ended up using the old boards and covering them. I to was going by what the catalog said about the product.

I have found that having an upholstery shop recover them seems to be the only alternative. This is totally unbelievable. I live in a rural area with no resources. As to the harshness of my previous response, the misinformation cost me a considerable amount in shipping fees for absolutely nothing. I humbly suggest not responding to any questions posted if not completely sure your answer is correct. Even some of the large outfits I contacted said the same thing. Old angry white guy for damn sure!

All I did was give you a source of information to look at . I never stated what they were like and I went through the same thing as you can see in my last post. If you were referring to me.

Please enlighten us on what the difference(s) are. I have personally never had a post car so I have no insight about what could be different, but I would like to know.

Yeah Big L you will need to reinforce them cause mine that I bought I had to put a screw into the brace to get mine to lay in there right they really aren’t worth the price you pay for them and you’ll need some good sharp scissors
