It rained a bit last night so the air was dust free and humid for us perfect for shooting Lacquer. The suede paint went down great 69 runner and charger dashes DSCN0775 (1024x768).jpg DSCN0775 (1024x768).jpg

Look Grate. We got rain here but the humidity is off the record. How durable is the lacquer. It looks about like what the black epoxy finish looks like that I have shot on to the car. Kind of a dull finish. Will you clear this when you are done or is that it. Russ.

It stays dull, this is the same type of paint the factory used. Who wants a shinny dash when the sun hits it anyway

Yep don't need the glare. May be thought their was a sealer you put over the lacquer. Thanks for the info.

Can you post pics or part numbers of the products you have used? They turned out great. I would guess that the product you used can be tinted. My RR seems to be the same medium blue as the upper door shell above the door panel.

The dash is the only part that gets the suede finish the doors are painted with exterior paint. Here is what I used, Its from TCP Global in California the restoration dept. Kind of funny it is illegal to use in CA. but they mix it and ship it.DSCN0745 (1024x768).jpg

I looked at your paint source for green paint for my dash. Came up empty. Jokes aside, do they have other options besides black?

Did you call them and ask for the resto shop?

Now there's a thought. I just looked around the website. When I get closer I'll give them a call.

Did you strip or blast the old paint on those dashes? Mine has some slight surface rust in a few areas.

Just wonder if you painted the back the with the same paint. Found more rust on the in side than the out side. :beep:

If you feel you need to paint the back be sure to clean everything that grounds to the dash. I hit a couple of spots with rust converter on this Charger dash.
