Has anyone ever changed out the rubber weather strip on the rear quarter windows, I have a 1971 Roadrunner that could use replacing, have the weather strips, but don't want to mess up the windows, trying to replace. Thanks for any help you all can give.

First they make a tool to release the trim clips. Found mine on Ebay. Would suggest getting the butadiene Calk used when in stalling the window Amozon sell is it and Ebay. Even if you a have a gasket. This stuff never hardens. I will lay in my gasket then calk the edge before putting the window in Then lay it around the edge of the glass before putting on the trim. That is the way I will do mine when putting it in. Some of the other guys may have a better Idea. Hope they will correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks for the reply, the seal I am wanting to replace is the weather striping at the leading edge of the rear quarter window, it seals to the drivers and passenger front windows. I have never tried to replace these before and don't want to wind up messing up my windows.
Thanks

Is that a crank up window or a vent window. Sorry thought you where talking about the back window. Mine is the pop out window. If it is roll up the gasket should fit in the chrome piece Thinking it should slide in the chrome trim on the window. Their should be a glue to keep it in the track. Hope some of the other guy's can help ya out. Your car is newer than mine. Mine is an old 69 two post. Like that year. That is the year my buddy down the street had. I ended up with a 73 charger. Wish I had kept it but now restoring a Runner to have a mussel car. Your friend Russ.
