I know that we have discussed this before but when looking a the Cragar Mags the state that 4 and a 1/4 is the deepest they have. Also do I need this spacing all the way around I mean back and front. Well won't be long before I will start buying them one at a time. Or one a month. Just about finished with the body work. Paint will be next. Thanks guy's all the info has been most help full through out the build. Russ. :)

I think that you have some room to work with relative to the back-spacing.

I have 15" X 7" on the front with 4" back-spacing.
I have 15" X 8" on the rear with 4.25" back-spacing.

Want to put 8" on front also. But want to put a 10" wide tire on back. Will go with the15" rims but would like to run and 8" tire in the trunk for spare. Did not know the set up so it will work on the rear or front. Thank for the info. Still doing body work but hope to be done soon.

Keep up Russ you are doing great on the body work! :)

For the rims, with front discs brakes do we need a special backspace? It is aftermarket one (Wilwood), I was wondering if it has an importance on the clearance with the backspacing especially if it is a 6 pistons caliper?

Caliper pulls the frame to the back to pinch the rotor. Cant see why back spacing would be a problem. Rim strike is the more important problem I would think. Do you have a rim that you can test with.

Having some rallye centres welded up at the moment, gonna check the fitment on Tuesday. going for 15x10 on the rear with 5" backspace. should fill out the wheel well nicely with a 295 tyre without any issues. If i get plenty of clearance, im gonna try and fit a 305/315 with a 5 1/2" backspace.

Ill keep you posted.

Yea. Just trying to figure out if a 8 inch rim will work on back as well as front for the spare tire. When it comes to a flat to get the bird home. That seems to have been a problem back in the day. Thanks all.

Sadly Russ I don't have one to test :\ Now I just have the 14'' inches 500 magnum wheels, and I want to buy the Mpoar steelies wheels in 15''. Wilwood said that witht the kit I bought we need to have 15'' rims for the clearance.

Thanks
