Thought I would run this past some of you that have replaced roof and quarter. Where the two meet at the sail panel. The roof has a led joint patch panel bend at off set and so dose the quarter. The roof off set is making it not smooth in this area. Also it sits up higher than the quarter at the window channel. So this is after market metal if any of you have had this problem and found a way to fix it let me know. Russ.

Heck no. Just about finished. Just a little problem. Like every thing else have to figure it out. It is probably a simple fix. Trying to stay away from using led or solider in the area due to the heat factor on the metal that has been prepped for rust prevention. Going to use the all steel to fill this area. Want to use as little filler as possible. Looking at these cars shows this area is a rust problem area. Have way to much money in the car to find another one. The roof fit's good every where but where the quarter and roof come to gather. I want it to look good when finished. Appreciate the help. Russ.

When my car was in for paint the body shop was doing that seam on a car with what looked like liquid aluminum, probably a two stage material. I stepped in some and never did get it out of my shoe, tuff stuff. I could call and see what they use.

Yep Bob that is what I got. Called in a pro to tell me what I should do. Local body shop man I know. He told me to take pic's and bring them to him. He did a Cuda not long ago and had a fit with it. Maybe he can help me out on this. Thanks for the info on the All Metal.

It sounds like you might be out of square. How do you have the car supported? Sounds like the center of the car has dropped.

Every thing fit's well droptop. Door's. Trunk lid. My body shop guy's I know say it is the after market nightmare. They told me a few thing's to do that might help. But just like the rest of this project have to make it work. This means cutting/Grinding/ Welding and cussing. The car has been supported on 8 jack stand's also has framing welded inside for support. Every thing is looking true and fitting fine. Roof sit's well every where it is the led joint off set for the led is over bent they should have left it flat on the roof side and made the joint just on the quarter. Things would have fit better. Thank you again.

I think the cars with the vinyle top had bondo in the sail panel, the none vinyle used led. I did a 70 cuda several years back with the newer body filler, it still looks great. I blasted the seam, paint with primer sealer, then did the filler, then used primer, sealer. I have got 2 gallon of bright red to paint my 70 challenger, If it ain,t red it not a mopar:thumbsup:but I like them all.

Well that sound's good halftrackman1. Even this car had the led then bond O over the area. Looks like have to take some of the bend out in off set on the roof panel. Quarter sit's good and roof fit's grate every where else. Oh except the driver side A pillar piece it is kicked in towards the other side. Figure something wrong with the molds. Do not think they have keep them up to standard's. But will make it all work some how. Thank you for the inside info.

Ok guy's here is the low down on that led joint. Got some play dough and used it like body filler. For a test fit. Every thing look's good it filled good and no hump's. Guess I was over thinking it. So now moving forward with putting the roof on. Thanks for all the input from you guy's. Russ.:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

With mine I only replaced the two rear quarters and got all the lead out and had to drill some holes and fill them in and I don’t know what my body guy used but you can’t feel the seam but you can see it when the sun shines on it just right

Well can say that if it blocked proper should not see any thing. After the All Metal will have feather filler sprayed over the car then block it in. Think I have it going my way dmartin. At least hope so. Will know when it is all done.
