So I drove down to to a show on the weekend with a buddy of mine Jason. He's a mopar guy from way back and has owned several cars before getting married and... well you all know how that goes.
He'd never been to Chryslers on the Murray, a pretty big show down under, almost 1000 cars. Ive really been on his case lately trying to gently push him back into buying a car, and thought I'd do my best to plant the bug by taking him to the show.
Now as we pull in, we spot another RR that I almost bought - a rare thing in Australia - and decide to have a closer look. The owner was nearby and we got a talking. Turns out, he only lives about 2 suburbs away from me.
Now as we're gasbagging away, my new RR buddy Anthony points out another car he's got at the show, a red VJ Charger. Jason's ears prick up.
JASON: what area did you say you were from man?
ANTHONY: Sutherland way
JASON: you ever have a green charger? real nice one?
ANTHONY: yeah mate I did.
JASON: You ever have a white VK Charger?
ANTHONY: Yeah mate I did. How did you know that?
JASON: Because I'm the bloke that bought that car off you back in 1993!

Jason heads home after the show, and over a few beers, starts sorting through some old photos, getting a little nostalgic. I think I just might be close to getting him over the line.

Like I keep telling him, easier to ask for forgiveness than it is to ask for permission.Charger.jpeg Charger2.jpeg
