My dash lights are only coming on when I rock the head light switch slightly back from the ON position. No Park lights in the Park position either. Anyone else had similar problems or know if cleaning the contacts will help?

Imo, you’re due for a new switch. I don’t believe contact cleaner will get the job done.

just to be sure, check you two ground wires on the radiator support, and make sure the park lights are clean and tight to the bumper. And reach under the dash and make sure the plug is firmly on the back of the headlight switch.

image.png Got my phone up under the dash and it looks like it might be the original unit. Connections all look OK so might have to shout myself a new one.
$11 from CarID for the part. $30 to send it to this side of the world!
Might have to buy some more bits to make the shipping worthwhile

OK thanks. Didn't think it looked right because I couldn't see how the rocker switch would attach. Will keep on looking.

Seems they are about as rare as rocking horse s#!t. Found some that look right for around $120.
Does anyone know of a good supplier?
Looks like almost everyone of the major parts suppliers has the wrong part.

Thr photo of the wrong switch is the one for my Satellite. I have a new new one from Classic Industries. Checked the site. They don’t show the rocker switch.

Good luck!

I have a used headlight switch, and a used 2 speed wiper switch if you are interested.
