Is all they can get with out mini tubing the car not a good idea. Have to move a lot of stuff to put the tub's in. Hope this help's and their are other forum where I have asked the similar question's.

Yea me too. I will buy a cheap rim and see how the 10 inch tire fit's with a 10 inch rim. This will be some time from now still working on body work. Good luck my friend.

295's in a 50 series will fit on a 15 X 10 rim no problem (26.7" overall diameter), but I think you'll be punished with the taller rim if the rubber is too tall, as the top of the arch rakes in real quick.
Im currently running the 275's in a 60 series (28" overall diameter) and ive got no issues.

Rknrlr, would you have a side shot picture of your vehicle handy? I'd like to see what the stance looks like with the 60 series. Also, you have the 275s both front and rear with no issues?

Thanks,

Jack

In the BFG tire chart it lists a size 285 in a 70 series. Id love to get my hands on a pair, but theyre apparently rare as hens teeth. Theyre 30"tall, probably the tallest street tire you'll find

rear 15x8's are 4.5'' backspace, I noticed there was more space in the inside to the leaf springs than to the guard, so I thought why not.

I also ordered a set of 15x10's with 5.5"backspace, but haven't been able to find rubber for them yet. Need at least a 295, but I dont like the BFG's in the 295/50 series.

Had a set of rally wheels made up a while back, 15x10's for the back, and he put a 5 3/4"backspace. All measured off stock rear suspension components.

Thank you RKNRLR. I was going to buy a set of Mickey Thomson for the rear.
I think with the right offset rim, you could squeeze in a 315 or even 325 (12 3/4") without the need for the offset leafspring perches. They will however make it fit no problemo. Very common among Australian built Chryslers, usually not too much room under the guards like their big American brothers.

Thanks. The problem is at the top of the tub gets really narrow quick. Bought 6 leaf springs with 2 and 1/2 inch rear curve so don't need extend shackle's. Thanks again. :thumbsup2:

When I bought my bird, it only had 3 leaves on each side, so it was really slammed down low. I used to get heaps of noise from the rear tires rubbing on those inside arches. Its still pretty low now (5 leaves each side, reverse-mounted eyes), but it doesn't rub like it used to, at least not until theres 5 people in the car!
Good luck with the rubber and be sure to post some pics!
