My 68 roadrunner, built on September 11 of 67 does not have the original 727 transmission and I am wondering what the original model number of transmission would be right for my numbers matching 383. I would like to find a date and model correct transmission, but I have not been able to for sure find the right number. I have found some sources that say it should be 2801541, but I would like to have someone else's confirmation on this. If someone out there has an original auto trans roadrunner that is in the early half of production, could you let me know what the model number is.
Thanks!

The hunt continues!

Have you checked the manual on the site. May be if you call Passion they might have the numbers. Good luck. :thumbsup2:

Hello. Well if you look down at the bottom of the forum page will see reference material. Open and look into the parts manual. I see for a 383 four barrel it is a 727 and part number is 1942248. Look for A833 transmissions four speed and you will find Passion performance.

I looked in the archive parts manual and it gave me a 2892093 as being the correct transmission, at least for 1969, it didn't say what 1968 was. I will call then at some point and see if they have some info.

Brewers and Passion are 4 spd experts. What I found is that part# was used in 67 and 68 up to mid March including roadrunners

He is looking for an 727 Automatic Bob. So the automatic should run the same years as the four speed correct. :)

There is some delay on some parts that got set aside because of problems so its not cut and dry for dates

Parts are a funny thing. I know a guy that worked on a line puting wheels on cars and he said you put on the car what came down the chute they wouldn't stop the line because of a wrong wheel it would get fixed later. Quite a problem after lunch he said. LOL
