A road supper charger should fit under the hood with out a hole cut in the hood. Don't know if they still make them but it was a low profile on a 350 Chevy motor. It was in a vet we put it on. Some piping for the thing but we worked it out. Had an electric switch. Would run like a four barrel carb or flip the switch and the charger came alive. With you on the wish list for Christmas. I have been hinting around on some things I need also. Later :beep:

Yea don't even know if it is made any more. I have just a 383 in the one I have. Going to stick with the holey four barrel. Original header's. It is costing enough to restore the car rite now so. May get crazy latter after car is done to get more horse power. Have fun. :steering:

Found a NOS Weiand tunnel ram for $380. Is that a fair price? havent seen many that'll give you much change from $800. This one looks like its been on the shelf forever, couple of minor scratches, but that doesnt really bother me.

What do you guys reckon?

First would see if you can get part's for it. That would be the big question for me. You got any pic's of it. Will this sit under the hood or have to cut a hole. Look's like a turbo charger would work with all the room under the hood. But the piping is a lot of work. Tell you just finding one is amazing. Polish out the scratches. :beep:

i know turbos are the way most folks are going these days to make stupid power, but i just really love the look of the tunnel ram.

Thinking of mock fitting it to see how much extra room ill need, and possibly getting a custom scoop added to an aftermarket fibreglass hood. a man can dream can't he?

Heck yea. I did not mean a thing. We love to live the dream or I would not own a runner. That is what keep us young a hart. Beware of fiber glass hood's heard some bad news on them. Good luck let's see it when you get it all installed.

Cool. I sent an enquiry to AAR. Looks like they have the capability in-house to make a raised sixpack-style hood.
