Attempting to find correct place for a Pentastar emblem on a 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner. I have searched through multiple pictures on Google to try and find another car with the emblem, but no luck. Others have told me that the emblem was factory, but I have other ideas.
Can anyone confirm the location or confirm that it was not factory? Thanks in advance.

I don’t think it came with one. If it did it would be on the passenger side low in front of the door.

Thanks to everyone for their responses. Just to confirm, the emblem was offered during the 1969 year, but only on the passenger door? Thanks again!

Correct. One explanation I heard for that location is that it was an advertising ploy. As people walked down the sidewalk they might be looking at the curb and thus the lower section of cars and would see the Pentastar and notice it was on a Chrysler product.

Agree, but I always thought it was weird they didn't place it on both sides of the car.

Looking at RonLiv car it appears to be gold. Or is that just faded. So what color do I go with when ordering one.

I don't really know, can't seem to find any detail on it. I'll keep digging and see what I can find to answer.

Looking at other discussion forums, "Gold" seems to be the answer, but I see no real documentation. But that seems to be the answer.

I think some of the k cars had silver ones
That would be true I think as the Gold Pentastar from what I read was used up until 1975. Then it was silver, again from what I pick up from other discussions, not real evidence. Since the K Car was a 1980's abomination it would have had the silver one. Again, not a verified fact from any official documentation from Chrysler. If I really cared I'd probably write to Chrysler Historical, they would know.

The originals were actually a gold metal embossed finish and they were held in place with a speed nut, the current reproductions have the correct gold finish and are a pop in place type. The replacement fenders used to be prepunched with the holes, the large center hole and the smaller hole to correctly register the emblem.
