I have a bunch of 1:18 scale that my kids buy me for Christmas. Fathers Day, Birthdays etc. I built a shelf that runs along the beam in our race racement (basement) to display them.

I knew a man that had the train go from his garage to his house. He would put a note on the box car send it off to the house and it would come back with his coffee cup full on it. He also had a train you could ride on around the yard. That old guy was cool. Nice train set their Basketcase.

That's a shame, I'm glad they caught the sob's who did this. In the Northeast each January there is a huge train show that covers 400,000 st ft of space in 4 buildings that has about 30 operating layouts and attracts on average 18,000 people, 20,000 including vendors, over two days. I was in one of the layouts for about 18 yrs. They have security there all weekend and while there has been a few items stolen, there has never been anything like that here.
