Like the tilt hood also. Was the 426 ever been bored out or is it stock. Nice motor. The car looks good and straight. Good luck.

Sorry for the late reply, I was finishing my Cuda. Yes the motor has been opened up, .060 over. Going to be running a Mopar "purple" cam and single 4BBL with EFI. Pistons re 12.5:1 but with the head gaskets I will be using I should end up around 10:1 or so.

I retired April 23. My '69 Runner is going to be my retirement project. But I didn't want to miss out on another summer of cruising, so I bought this retirement gift for myself.View attachment 27815

440 six barrel clone. Matching #'s 383 came with it. Bench seat, column shift A/T. N96 was the only option on the fender tag.
Very nice!!!!!

20190522_072009_resized.jpg My first RR circa summer of 1980. Paid $175 for it. My dad & I drug it out of a guy's back yard somewhere around Ray City/Nashville, GA. It was his son's and he never came home from Vietnam...
My wife had the original photo blown up and hung it in my office so this is a picture of a picture. That's my dad fiddling with the tow strap so we could drag it home with my mom's '77 Monte.

this was my second '69 road runner. Traded a buddy a 383/727 that came out of a '67 Charger that another buddy gave me. Complete basketcase......had a blast with it before it met an untimely end.

And what was the Untimely end. Is that the one that burned. That was a bad seen. I know other's that have gone up from engine fires. Not Runners but other car's that people raced on the back road's.
