John go for it. Every improvement should raise the price. Just looking around on the net. 383 four speed car's are asking 34 thou. Too 50 thou. and up. Any more hits on selling it. Or just the same old people wanting something for nothing. My friend have people send him messages asking all kind's of questions and say grate looking car but no bites as of yet. On 68 Olds with new paint. Also the racing stripes. :steering:

Not necessarily. People that are paying TOP DOLLAR are usually looking for a correct, original car. Things like aluminum radiators drive the price down, not up. Just something else that they have to change back in order to get the car into the most universally desirable condition. Not everyone's desirable condition - but most people's.

383 four speed car's are asking 34 thou.
The operative word there is "asking". If the car was severely undervalued at the current $40K asking price as you contend then it would already be sold because someone would have snapped it up in a NY Minute and we would not be having this discussion...

Not to step on toe's this is what I was seeing while looking around. Condition could be the factor. Maybe the fact is Automatic Transmission in steed of four speed. Also bench seat and not bucket seat with console. Just some factors I considered when buying this car and restoring it. Yes mine was bench seat car but now will be bucket. I have been WRONG before and will be again. Thanks for the input it is always good to here from other's. Russ.

So my Aluminum radiator is the issue?damn if I knew that I would’ve spent the $1200 for a Glen Ray.
The reason this car is the price that it is is because that S%+~ bag that I bought it from lied to me about it having the original engine.
I’ve bought many cars over the years and yes it is my fault for not actually checking the numbers myself but you get a feel for people over the years and I had no idea this guy was gonna lie he had another car for sale a 69 as a matter of fact and I had asked him if he had any 70s and he said yes but I’m not selling it and I would like to get this amount for it so it was already a high price to begin with 32K plus shipping.
So once I got the car and realized it didn’t have the original engine I decided to paint the car to bring up the value a little bit because honestly the car wasn’t worth 32K without the original motor to me maybe 25K so I painted it for $10,000 plus seat covers that put me at $44,000 so to make a long story shorter. I don’t mind keeping the car I always wanted a 70 road runner but my preference was lemon twist yellow not vitamin C orange and after the engine issue it put a bad taste in my mouth about the car so I wanted to paint it and fix it up and try and get my money back or closest to it.
which is provingto not happen yet I feel the car is worth 35K possibly 40K so until I get somewhere near that amount I’ll be keeping it eventually someone will have to have it because of color & 4 speed it’s still a rust free California car and it has never been pulled apart like most of other restorations which is valuable in it self.

Hay hay be care full. Taken apart completely. That is what a full on restoration is. Trying to keep old nuts and bolts that are rusted is a waste of time better to buy new ones that are not pitted and striped out. You should get what your asking. Still don't see why the radiator would hurt the price. It is better than the OEM. Just saying. The rite guy would know that. It is hard to find a full on original car I think. Mine had the motor replaced either it was blown up or run hot and cracked the block. So ask you price If it is all number's matching then you should get it. Russ.
