Thanks D. I just figured that in the old day's their where not that many 4 lane road's and you did not have to check your passenger side to see if someone was coming up on that side. Now day's every thing is at least 4 lanes and more. I will check with year one. Russ.

Has any one bought form Dante's part's. Every one want's a lot for the mirror's. Can't figure out why a mirror cost so much. I could buy a new bumper for what they want for the mirrors. Well let me know what you think. Russ.

Or just say to heck with it and pick a nice mirror from one of those hot rod sites, speedway, etc and use those. Cost you maybe $60 or so.

Well I drilled the holes on the passenger side for a mirror also. I had one on a donor door and measured of it and the new driver door I just painted. I use the passenger side mirror a lot. :thumbsup2:

OER has the correct mirrors for both driver and passenger side. They are a bit different from each other and tilt outward just a bit, so one size does not fit both sides if doing it correctly like stock. I got both mirrors through Summit. Passenger side for $129 and driver side (with remote) for $139. Both are exact reproductions of the originals used on the 68 through 70 Road Runners

If your looking to add a passenger side mirror and your driver side mirror is the manual style, then the passenger side is the same mirror. If your car is equipped with the remote mirror on the driver side, the passenger side mirror that is used would resemble the remote driver side mirror with a different base.

The base for both are exactly the same; however, the passenger side outer rim (that surrounds the glass mirror) is shaped slightly different allowing for more tilt inward of the mirror; otherwise they look exactly the same. I highly recommend going with OER, with the best price at Summit. Turnaround time is also very quick and shipping will be free. When I ordered mine, the passenger side came out of the Nevada warehouse and the driver side from Texas. I ended up calling Summit and made the order over the phone... which was easy and quick. You'll find cheaper ones out there; however, they will not look like the original stock mirrors... and of course MOPAR owners will pick up on that instantly when looking over your Road Runner at the various events. 1968 and 1969 mirrors were the same. Not sure if the 1970 mirrors changed. Attached are two photos of the driver side and passenger side mirrors

That is how mine look from Dante's. The shape of the door is what swing's them out also. Thanks for the pic's. I did not want to buy cheap one's either. Dante's say they use their product's on their car's. Nothing worst than to have bubble chrome or pealing.

Additional information on the mirrors - after installing the (factory-specific) new mirrors, I discovered the passenger side vent glass would hit the mirror frame when opening the vent. I leaned that because the passenger side mirror was originally always an option, they did not all fit the same and would typically be a bit off from the driver side in measurements. It all depended on how careful the installer was at the assemble plant (some likely used templates or measured while other just eyeballed the location). There were most likely quite a few items that were eyeballed. After taking precise measurements and finding a considerable discrepancy, in measurements, I removed the new passenger side mirror (the door is original) and elongated the holes back and down just enough to match the driver side; reinstalled the passenger side mirror and the vent opens with approximately a quarter inch gap, so both are exactly the same now. I checked photos of my original Road Runner (that I purchased new) and found the bird decal on the doors were not exactly the same (one a bit further forward than the other)… so there you go... these cars were never precise in anything. Our restored RR are typically very much better in fit and finish than when brand new!!!

Yes we always say either it was made on a Monday or Friday that is the day's they get screwed up. Had a set of donor door's the passenger side had the mirror. Measured both door's and they where in the same place on door's. Hope I did it rite also.

I believe it was an offered option. I looked into it once, as I recall you could get a remote mirror on the left and a regular mirror on the right.
