I want to order a new dash harness for my 68 road runner and year one shows 2 different ones, one with a oil light for $615 and one with gauge for $470. I have the oil light but I plan on running after market gauges so I was wondering if I could get away with the cheaper harness??? That would be Awesome if I could.

Why duplicate a marginal harness if you are adding new gauges etc. switch to a aftermarket harness, haywire, painless etc, and modernize the whole car

I agree if I was changing everything but I'm just adding oil and water temp gauges, keeping everything else. Year one is running 30% off right now so if I can go with the cheaper harness it comes out to $335 and save me alot of time.

If that is all Anthony you can run a few extra wire's your self. Hope you have a hole big enough to put the temp gauge through the fire wall. I drilled an extra hole where one should have been. To carry all the extra stuff through on mine. The biggest thing is the temp. Gauge. sending unit. Going to put back the after market gauges that came with this car. Looked fairly new. Russ. :thumbsup2:

If interested, I have a new, still sealed in the package, 1968-1970 B Body AC/Heater wiring harness.
(Classic Industries #MB1811) I will ship it to you, $20.

Anthony I went with an after market heat and A/C unit for mine it bolts under the dash. At my age and if the wife rides with me she want's that A/C. I like it too because I am spoiled with all my other vehicles have it here in fla. it is a must. Two window's down at 60 mph don't get it for me any more. :thumbsup2: Russ.

So in the end dose any one have one company they would get their wiring harness from over other one's. I would like to get just the normal harness that came in the car so I don't have to mess with the fire wall like I have read on some of these harness. Russ.

Well the sticker shock is their for the wring harness. Year one is up their and vansautollc is also pretty high. The most expensive part seems to be the under dash harness. Like I said if any one has a preference let me know. This is replacing all the wiring. Russ.

They don’t make a dash harness, but pretty much everything else.

It look's like the most expensive part is the under dash harness. It has the fuse block and hook ups for the dash gauges and all that. Hay wire was a good price but did not use the bulk head connector. They also said that you had to but splice to your old connectors and so on. Year one has the original harness but man the price to do the hole car is getting a round 1200.00 dollars. Now sitting back and thinking of looking over my old wire harness. The worst part I would think would be the engine bay due to the heat from the motor. I know the wires get brittle from all the heat. Well Maybe get a bulk head connector new and splice the wire's my self with one of the other company's. Like haywire their system is about 500.00 for their harness and fuse block. Man don't it ever stop. It just keep's bleeding me. Russ.

Just went thru a hole and added a grommet. Terminals are a problem for all due to fact Chrysler won’t release permission to anybody to repop them. Needed a few connectors from harness but most are generic
