I'm looking to do a manual brake conversion on my '73 RR project car and basically need the manual brake pedal linkage that is different than the power brake linkage, because that's what I believe to be the main difference. If there are other parts needed to do this please let me know. Thanks.

Summit tech line. Classic industries for some parts. Jegs also. May have to go to a salvage yard site to get linkage.

Unfortunately there's not a lot of new reproduction brake pedal linkage parts being made for the '71-74 B-bodies, which is surprising considering that they used basically the same brake linkage parts as E-bodies and therefore the market would be much larger for them. I guess no one has wanted to take the financial risk involved in tooling up for such parts. And if they were being reproduced for these cars they would no doubt cost a small fortune - much more than similar parts for GM or Ford cars.

As far as going to the salvage yard to find parts for this car goes, those days are long gone around here.

As much as I like old Mopars, I think my first Mopar is going to be my last one because of all the frustration I've had with this project and how much every part - no matter how small or if it's new or used - costs for them. All the GM vehicles I've restored have been much easier (and less expensive) to do.

I am with you on finding hard to find part's. You would think this stuff was made of gold when you need to get a part. Just for example the inner front head liner trim was around 200 buck's. But they do have us at their mercy. Where are you going to find it. Yes many more Chevy's made and Ford's. Compared to the mopar's. I would say try Stephen's salvage yard in Alabama they are on the web. They only do mopar. They have had part's that I could not find any where else. Also they know these car's inside and out they have been very help full. You know that a console shifter use cost me 400 but where are you going to get it. Wish you luck and don't give up buddy I figure it will all be worth it when I put the key in the ignition switch and start it up. Post some pic's of the project would love to see what you are doing. :thumbsup2:

Thanks for the encouragement. If I knew others would follow it I'd start a thread on my project. Otherwise I posted some pictures of it in it's present state in the introduction section of this forum.
