Just wonder if it really is necessary to have the speedometer checked and the cluster. I did not have the chance to check if every thing worked. Had the Mini gages under the dash. I found one place that say's they will go through every thing and refresh it for around 800. That is if the speedometer is fix able. Clean and redo all the faces and color's on the gages. I have not really looked at it been too busy working on getting the car's body in shape. If their is another place that dose this or have had yours done by some one let me know. This is a standard dash of course. Plain jane. Russ.

I have my work done at Redline in California they did repair a speedometer that a local shop said couldn't be fixed. None of them are cheap

since dash is out of the car, all parts are checkable. can run test leads and see if gauges work, a drill on the speedo will tell if it works. rest is cosmetic

Yes I am adding a tach also. The gages and stuff I can replace just worried about the speedometer. Oh well thanks think I will see what he can do for me. Russ.

Definitely add the stock tach. Someone strapped one of those big aftermarket tachs to the steering column of mine when I bought her. Got rid of it and replaced with the stock in dash tach and it looks so much better, plus gets rid of that blank on the dash.

He is in Tallahassee Fla. I might just drive up their and have a chat with them. It is like an 8 hour drive up their. But maybe well worth seeing how they do the process. Russ.

If you’ve got the time to do so and he won’t mind, why not? Load up everything and take it with you. Do you have the stock tach already or is he going to get it for you? If I remember correctly, Classic Industries has it for about $200.

If you are talking about Dave at a Performance Car Graphics, don’t waste your time going to “chat” with him. Just send him your cluster and he will make everything right. He is one of the best in this line of services.

Have had Fed ex lost a part. Then the way I got the chunk from Tomrr with UPS is really bad to say the least. I have been to the terminal where UPS load's stuff and they just through stuff around. I cant afford to have it lost. Not so much to chat with him but want it to get their and back in one piece. Thanks for you info buddy.

Given what you’re shipping, take out the insurance with FedEx or UPS. It’s not much, but you can specify a dollar amount. I did so with an original vent I ordered from a place in North Alabama and I’m glad I did as the vents were broken by the time it got here.

Russ I done my own dash. My gauges were ok but needed cleaned. I used a mild cleaner and a soft rag. came out ok. I did put a new tac in from classic because I installed electronic ignition. The oem tac will not work(so they say) I also repainted my dash and painted the little white letters. Looks like new. You must understand I am not building a Museum car. I want to drive it and enjoy.
