I have a lighted Dunlop sign like that one that I took down from the garage ceiling in preparation for the 4 post hoist someday soon and hung in the racement (race themed basement).

Always have extra in the glove box. The glove box is a catch all for part's. Cut out the wiring harness fuse and make it so you can replace the fuse also. Had that burn up before and had to cut it out and splice the wire's together with a wing nut. Have a small tool box in the trunk with extra stuff. After owning so many old car's found out this was a wise idea in the end. Don't forget the roll of bailing wire also.

I tried to keep all that crap in the cars, but to much hassle trying to keep up with everything and took up to much trunk space. All I carry anymore is a cell phone and a credit card. I have free towing up to 100 miles on my classic policy. It sure does make you feel good though when you fix your car on the side of the road. Definitely something you can’t do with today’s computer cars.

i would not trust AAA if its a tow truck they don't know how to hook it up and a flat bed they dont use straps to tie it down they use chains

Excellent on keeping all of that in the car just in case. Many years ago, I had an old school VW Bug and keep an extra set of points in the glovebox. I used to joke that I could damn near change them out in traffic between red lights.

for sure the good old days . today the kids dont know how to change a flat or do an oil change . i bet they would say but its electric and dont have oil :rofl:

Hell, I work with a bunch of people that know 3 things about a car:
1- where the steering wheel is located
2- identify all 4 tires
3- where to put gas in

Long story short... a pregnant lady I worked with had a flat and they came to me. I told the 3 guys to get the jack and all out if my trunk and start and I’d be out once I finished what I was working on. I went out just in time to see then start to put the spare tire on, concave side out, so that the tire was sticking out past the quarter panel. I stood at the door for a min, thinking they had to just be joking around... nope, I decided they were serious when they had the 2nd and 3rd luv nut going on. I went out then and had them put it on the right way. Jeez
