Yes I under stand CompSyn. Had to sell a Harley that was band new with less than 5.000 thou. miles on it. But it was something had to do. Told the dealer to sell it to a working guy so someone could get a good price on it. :thumbsup2:

What is going on buddy. That E bay is getting pretty bad. Like bidding on thing's at the last minute someone can snipe you bid you held for two week's. I thought you where bound if you put the bid in and won as the high's bidder. Sorry your having trouble with it. Good luck and hope it work's out. :thumbsup2:

Also a buddy of mine stopped putting things on their because of what they are charging to list a car. Items I have sold on their they want 10 percent of the asking price. He has gone to craigslist to do his selling.

Right! The guy made a $15,100.00 impulse bid two hours before a 10-day listening ended. He promptly paid his $500 deposit within 5-min of winning the bid. I had a phone conversation with him and many multiple text messages making arrangements to have the money wired to my bank account and car pick-up date. Then, without warning, he stops responding to text messages and phone calls, drops off the face of the planet... nothing! Radio silence!

All eBay will do is credit back my final value fee of $125 and told me no big deal, just relist the car again and pay another $72 dollars just to so. The deadbeat eBay user will get nothing more than a little slap on the hand and will get to continue doing what he’s doing. And I get to walk around feeling like someone just kicked me right in the gut. Sure! I keep his $500 deposit, actually$485 after PayPal fees, but that nowhere near covers the emotional roller coaster ride I have been on in the last few days. What is wrong with people!!!

It is sad to here this. Of course E bay would say that. Thought he would be band from E bay. When bidding it states that you better know you are obligated to pay for your winning bid. Sorry for your luck. In the end maybe someone else will buy the car and offer more money. Wish you luck maybe advertise it a different way other than E bay.

That's just odd, if he had no intentions to buy it why would he send and then forfeit $500, make no sense. Maybe he thought he could borrow the cash and that all fell through. Something is off.

I believe, initially, the guy fully intended to buy the car but then simply got cold feet. He lives in a 2.1 Million dollar ocean side bungalow in Los Angeles. To walk away from a $500 dollar deposit after realizing the full weight of his responsibility was probably not a big deal for him. The saying that comes to mind; more dollars than sense.

IF I do end up deciding to use eBay again, I'll increase the immediate deposit to $1000 dollars. More skin in the game as it were...

Yes. Tried that. The "Second Chance Offer" to the second and third place bidders. The second place guy is apparently a ghost as well. No response. The third place guy actually opened up some communication with me but we were unable to really secure anything. So... I tried Craigslist and that place is kind of a joke in my opinion. Just a bunch of scammers. "Call me! I want the car!" Right! No!!

So, yesterday, I put it back on eBay. It's weird how much attention the car generates during a listing, but when the listing ends, the ghost people return into the wood work... :realcrazy:

Man oh Man why is it when we want something we go a head an buy it. We don't play game's. But when we try to sell something It is a song and dance every time. Wish you the best of luck on the second round. May be some one will be a stand up guy this time. I told a friend of mine trying to sell an Old's cutlass. He was asking to little for the car. He was not getting to many replies to the add. So he relisted it at a much higher price and now have had more call's on the car than before. Ask high and you can always come down but never can ya go up. Good luck. :thumbsup2:
