Just to say after talking to the guy that is doing the dash cluster. I had to sit down for a while. I keep thinking that something has to be a little cheaper. But I don't think so. 1300 is the price he gave me to fix it like new. The Speed O Meter needed a lot of work and the board and all is in bad shape. He say's it will be like new when I get it back. Hope this is the last big bill before getting into the motor. :praying:

No it is only the 120 MPH cluster. I will get over it. Figured their was another big hit to come. Just did not think it would be that much. I ought to be gold plated when it get's back. LOL.

See used ones at local swap meets for about 175.00
That may be true quikbird just wonder what kind of shape they are in. This one should be gold plated for what the cost is. Just another big hit that was not expected. Maybe one day when driving it wont even think of all the money put in to it.

Hi Russ. I know what it feels like to get an expense like that. I am to cheep to give that. I did my own the best I could. I had to repair some of the circuit board. Got some advice from some of our electronic technicians and that's how I learned that part. I then cleaned the gauges and the clear lens. I did put a new tac in. I will try to show a pic of it.

The Speed O meter was in bad shape. But repairable. I don't have the part's. Really don't have the time to do it. This guy dose it for a living and a couple of guy's on here have used his shop. I just need to stick with putting the car together. Enough on my plate rite now as you know. Lot's of work left. Next is to get into the steering column. That I can do. Appreciate the thought and would like to see the pic. Of how yours turned out. Russ.

I've owned a couple 150 speedo's but they bring such a good buck I just couldn't justify keeping them. And while its a cool item, it'll probably never see actual use and only a handful of people will ever notice it. The money's better spent somewhere else. Two years ago at Carlisle I spotted a 150 speedo ... "how much?" "forty bucks" - I couldn't get my money out fast enough. later, upon closer examination it was a 150 lense on a 120 cluster. A little ticked BUT I know it was still a steal. Got $150 for the lense and about $40 for the other odds and end AND I kept all the bulbs and sockets!

Man that was bad. This one in the car was only 120 mph. If it get's that would be lucky. Figure never go over 90 now day's any way's. :steering:
