with all the foam torn up on the back or missing. As well as exposed metal rusted. Cleaned the metal and treated with rust preventer. Then used Flex seal to fill in holes and cover the brittle foam. I will get to dry a few day's. And her is a shot of my lower switch panel painted and lettered. IMG_0106.JPG IMG_0107.JPG IMG_0108.JPG

Don't know if the Flex seal was a good idea but could not have all that exposed metal showing and the foam pealing off every where. This seems to have stopped that pretty good. Now just wondering if it will effect the mounting of it. Will see but don't think it will have any effect.

It’s all coming along nicely.... you can go to a local craft store or summit racing (which is where I got mine) to get a white paint pen. I’ve used such paint pens to detail small items like the dash letters, misc under hood items, and various other.

I used the paint pen also that way the paint would not wash off with cleaners. Another trick I used was once the black paint dried so I could touch I suspended it upside down in a tree with metal hangers so when I painted the lettering the white paint would stay at the top of the letters with no puddling on the black. Bud light and I figured that one out. AE70FE56-9AC4-422F-9D13-0448EC1F8310.jpeg

That looks great. I finished mine and painted the lettering with one of my hobby brushes. Took a little time but came out ok. Keep going buddy, Big Mo.

It is those darn E and A letter's that give you a fit. The hod rod black has a hardener in it but the white was an Oil base paint so you can take Mineral Spirts and clean it off and start again. Practice make perfect LOL.
