Hey everybody! So I just bought my first car to restore, flip, or what have you, and I am a newbie to this. It's a 1969 Roadrunner Convertible 383 stick shift. I tried typing in the fender numbers online, but no luck, and I didn't know if you fine people would be able to point me in the right direction via a website to decode it, or decode it for me? Looking at mine verses others online, mine doesn't have any numbers or letters at the top of the tag, which confuses me? :). Here's the numbers and I'll attach w the spacings and all as it appears on the tag:
A36 M31 R21 VCW 26 END
B5 B5 H2B B7 B23 05 7177
563 D21 RM27 H96 174331

Also does anyone know where to find the builder's sheet in the car?

Builders sheet tends to be under the rear seat. Not always for your car. They got mixed up at factory easily

Okay thank you for the info! Why do you say not always for my car? Sorry, I don't know anything about roadrunners except for what I've learned the last few days. Any other info you want to share would be greatly appreciated, I'm all ears!!!

The build sheet sometimes does not match your car. For example mine did not. The factory mixed them up enough that it is not a big surprise

Got ya, thank you! Do you know a site I can decode the fender tab (I think that's what it's called?) I googled but the one site I tried only recognized one of the letter/number combos as a stick shift but didn't have info on others.

Your convertible very similar options as mine. Try this site to decode your tag.

It's called a Fender Tag. Also - on the bottom row, the second group of alphanumeric digits from the right are "H9G", not H96. G is St. Louis where your car was built.

The build sheet can be in multiple places sometimes under rear seat, most times under springs of rear seat upright portion sometimes in glove box. They almost never mix up the sheets as they put them in at the end of the production line the sheet follows the car down the line. Someone might have stuck a sheet in that one guys car trying to look original with paperwork.
Also does anyone know where to find the builder's sheet in the car?

more like someone stuck a sheet there trying to look original when selling the car.

AZ Desert,
Its pretty common some cars don't get one and others get several from other cars. A friend of mine found 3 sheets one being his and two from other cars. I found this under the carpetroadrunner restoration 010.jpg
