Have you tried another ECU ?
MAPA has good and cheap

Yes I went with the exact silver box from NAPA (TP51) I think it regulates a higher RPM than the old orange box

Funny you ask LOL. Well she quit the other night after a drive through the neighborhood and as I was letting her cool down and checking everything with a multimeter I noticed one of the wires from the voltage regulator to the alternator was cracked and exposed and may have been grounding out. Got her started and limped home, tore apart the wiring and cleaned her up but then after restarting her the ammeter gauge was spiking when revving the engine and finally settled in at 20+ so I’m now seeking out a cheap voltage regulator replacement before sending the alternator back to summit racing for a replacement. So I guess the long answer is not yet haha haha. But it’s made for a good hobby these last few nights.

Old wiring makes for a lot of problem's for sure. Hope you get it figured out and can drive it with out any more problem. :thumbsup2:

separate question anyone know the gauge size of the blue wire from the voltage regulator to the alternator? Looks to be either 16 or 18

Agreed definitely go at least 16. By the way, if you run wire for your high beams and you're not using LEDs or some other high efficiency bulb, then upgrade the power leads to at minimum of 14 for those and no less than 10 gauge as main power to the fuse box. It was terrifying how flimsy the original wires are. It's wonder more of them didn't burn to the ground with the high beam circuit pumping at least 8 amps from the fusebox down to the floor switch and then all the way back up and out to the front across tiny 14 gauge strands.

corporate trying to save money. Don't think they thought these car's would be around 50 year's latter. Just like some car's not long ago burnt up just sitting in the garage. Not Plymouth. Have seen burnt wires in a lot of vehicles over the year's.
