Last Sat on a beautiful New England day while stopped at a traffic light in downtown Holden, MA I heard a bang then a crack - my rear window exploded! Nothing could have fallen from above (no trees, etc.) either a passing car (muscle car hater threw something?) or just a freak thing. Has this happened to anyone else?

Maybe the genius Wile E. Coyote did this? I might recall seeing seen some Acme explosives but was in shock at the time... Biggest concerns are not the glass, but the chrome trim AND the paint job!

The trim should come off without injuring the paint, just have an extra pair of hands to help hold it.

I know that sick feeling for sure. That really should not happen. Is it the original glass. Here is mine after two hours of being put in to the car. IMG_0106.JPG

Russ that break is right under the connector on the trim. Any possibility something under that pressed on the edge of the glass. The weak spot is the edge, not so much the panel

I give up quikbird. Going to have one made and that will solve the problem. Thanks for the info. Took the used one I just bought and used it to mark where to shrink the one their going to make for me. This should solve all the problems and let me get on with building the car. :beep:
