Not much progress on the car between holidays and my wife, myself and kid getting the China virus right after Christmas, hoping to start welding the trunk floor in next week. Another distraction was kid's cub scout Pinewood derby tomorrow, as a fundraiser they are having a separate parent's...

"Because the shell of a C3 isn't worth 12 grand in any world, Hawley, contacted the Appraiser's Office on Nov. 30 and was informed he had recourse. The office issued him a Payment Under Protest application and instructed him how and when to file, as well as advised him to submit further...
There may also be more to it - maybe some of the street racers are involved in other crimes such as stolen cars/pars, drug trafficking etc. - who knows?
Guy was way too long winded for me to watch it so I skipped thru it. My take - guy was participating (videoing) in organized illegal street racing and got caught, maybe the LEO`s went a bit overboard for a Class B misdemeaner but that had video evidence. Don`t do the crime if you can`t do the...
I think the states are allowed to make thier own emission laws, not sure how much the EPA is involved in that. The new crackdown sounds like it is directed towards aftermarket companies that offer modifications to newer vehicles.
New Hampshire only does emissions on OBDII cars and light trucks so my Barracuda and Ram 2500 only get safety inspections - Ram yearly, Barracuda every other year with antique plates.
Over on FBBO a guy said the `70 had two rubber stops screwed in the support instead of the brackets. I actually had the rubber pieces I took off but thought they might have been added by a previuos owner. Anyone have a `70 that can confirm that they are supposed to be there? AMD shows the...
Ya, I probably could, I have 30+ years in sheet metal shops, 10 years in collision shops and many years restoring my rusty junks so I have some experience with metal. Would need some dimensions though.
I figured the frame holes don`t belong and I think there was a fuel cell or some other non-stock tank mounted so they must of cut of the brackets - crap! I bet they only come with the support and I can`t buy them separate?
Passenger frame rail behind axle has two small holes, factory or did someone drill them? Trunk support/cross member has a small hole between the larger two on both sides, factory or someone drill?
Only minor differences between a regular 383 and a rr 383 HP, mainly just slightly hotter cam. I have my matching numbers engine and it will look stock but I built it up a bit for more torque and HP but nothing crazy as it`s going to be a nice cruiser. I would just build up your `66 383 how you...
