Howdy all, I've noticed recently my brake pedal is getting spongey when sitting at thw lights. Starts firm, then slowly travels toward the floor.

After inspection, i found no leaks, so can only assume the master cylinder is shot.

This is the MC thats in the car at the moment. Just want to check its the right one before ordering a replacement. Car is manual drums all round with no P/S or A/C.

Cheers!20180327_132644.jpg 20180327_132656.jpg

Yep sound's like blow by on the plunger. Have rebuilt many in the day but sometimes had to get a new one. Some of them just would not work well after rebuilding them. Like with disc brake caliper's. Think it is the brake fluid that eats up the metal or pit's it. Well good luck and it don't take that long to put the new on. Just need some one to help bleed the system. :)
