Dose any one know what type of sealer was used between the two cowl halve before they welded them together. What I found is now tan colored but was probably white 40 some odd year's ago. Well appreciate any info someone may have want to put it back like it was when they built her. Thanks Russ.

Well for all you bird rebuilder's here is what I found out. That stuff between the lower cowl and upper was seam sealer. It looks like they used it to seal the trim around window's and door trim so they used it on every thing not only the seam's. That is what that foamy looking stuff was that I thought was some kind of foam rubber. Thanks to all my bird brother's that were trying to help it is most appreciated.
