Got my car back from a 1/4 panel replacement and noticed the gap ,I think it should be in line with rear inner panel like my other side.
Can anyone check on there car which door/ body gap is correct. Thanks in advanced.

Mine is tight in the same place. Wish I had ground off that tit. on the quarter and welded it up. But after all Hine sight not good. More gap on the hinge pillar due to door swing. Really tight on the latch panel area. IMG_0102 (2).JPG

Here is my 70, original paint, no body damage. The gaps are very loose on this car, the drivers door is over 1/4”, maybe more like 3/8”. Doors open and close just like they should.

I did buy aftermarket doors. They may not be the same as the original one's as far as the fitting on the car. Did have to neural my hinges. Where the bolts hold it to the hinge pillar to slide the door forward. But that being said did replace the hinge pillar post on both sides. Think when they put the welded nuts on the post, they were off.
