Ok I started in 1969-70 out riding shotgun and helping Kenny Harris in his "JB Sunoco Dodge" a 67 Coronet Sedan 440 tunnel rammed/flite with 56's in a dana on the streets of Youngstown Ohio.
1971 bought a 69 R6 Ram Air 383 4 speed coupe Bee(early production car that had "383 Four Barrel" fender emblems and "383" scoop call outs).
    1973 69 T5 V1X 383 auto Bee.
    1975 x9 Hemi 4 speed 68 Coronet R/T.
    1976 EV2 383 auto N96 70 Bee Coupe.
    1977 66 Charger, 70 B5 383 4 speed Bee.
    1978 69 R4 RR (still own) FK5 383 4 speed 70 Bee hardtop.
1979 V2 440 4 speed 70 Superbird, and began working as parts manager for Frederick Dodge and supplying Year One and Dale's Cuda Shop with NOS parts, later working for Dale as well(who passed in 2018) (Y1 parts code "FD***" meant Frederick Dodge(no Longer in business), AO & CT meant Dale's Cuda Shop) and working with a Chrysler Rep B. Johnson on dealing with some of the original parts supplying vendors who had left over stock that MoPar was no longer interested in.
1980 from Daytona Charger, RR's GTX's GLHS's, Shelby Daytonas, Turbo awd Talons up to the current MoPar SuperCars till present has not stopped and looking forward to retiring soon. Wish I could have kept all the MoPars I have owned but and parts cars that were stripped....sorry I sold many of em....It has been a "long strange trip".

Welcome from Southern Indiana. I knew you had deep Mopar roots from the few posts that you have made. That is an impressive list of cars you have had, and how fitting that you kept a 69 RR out of all of them.

I may but would prolly relate more easily to the cars and faces, it was pretty crazy back then, as Youngstown was a steel town and was flush with money and as such MANY MANY Musclecars not just MoPars. The street racing scene raged from the mid 60's thru the mid 80's and from the 80's on is still a strong cruise in area, as well as having hosted many Hot Rod Supernationals in Boardman Ohio. Local MoPar dealers Frederick Dodge, Market Motors, Sam Brown Dodge, Straussbaugh Dodge, Neil Motors, Hine Motors put MANY HEMI Six Pack and wedge MoPar muscle on the streets back then. Then you had within cruise/street racing distance Akron, Cleveland and Pittsburgh Pa. so it was wild! On two different occasions Youngstown Police went on strike and we turn Market Street at Midlothian Blvd into the Market Street Nationals all weekend long without any issues (pictures were taken :) I may postem.
