Happy Thanksgiving Everybody!

Mrs Big John and I are going out to dinner. All our kids are commited to going to their inlaws etc. so we are going to be alone for the first time... so we made some reservations at this great local place. Its going to be nice, but we'll miss everybody just the same. Its a lot less work to just pay the check though.

What's everybody else gonna do?

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

We're having dinner here with the kids (and a boyfriend and another friend, yada yada yada...) so the house will be full today. That Cowboys-Seahawks tilt should be a real snoozer and that's exactly what I plan to do...

Tomorrow we're off to Daytona for a couple of days - The Turkey Run is an OUTSTANDING show if you guys ever get the chance...

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. Going to visit the in-laws for dinner and football. We are making the turkey and yams this year. I will be frying one and we have one in the oven. There will be about 20 people for dinner.

Me and my family have always deer hunted on thanksgiving and celbrate thanksgiving on the following weekend. My daughter (16) and I went to my cabin last night. When she took the gun off of her shoulder this morning she raised the bolt up by mistake and at 10:30 this morning I pushed a nice 8 pointer to her and she couldn't get the gun to shoot. She was not very happy. She did however get a doe this afternoon and now I'm back home. We had a blast. I had better enjoy her while I can. My other daughter is 18, in college and we don't have a lot in common. I love them both very much but I'm sure I will be taking the back seat to the boyfriends soon. :blah:

If our new glorious leader has anything to say about it, there's going to be an overpopulation problem with the deer in the next four years. An outspoken socialist trust the American people with firearms? Ammo prices (not to mention gun prices) are through the roof right now. I have been looking for a decent AR lately and everywhere in town has been sold out and on back order since Nov 5. Deer huntin's gonna get harder if they start trying to take our guns away.
