I have a 69 RR 383 .30 over purple cam stock exhaust manifolds 906 heads. It has a worn out 1406 Edlebrock I believe too small not great throttle response and poor performance. I am looking at a Holley 625 cfm Street Demon or 750 cfm Street Demon. The 625 should be plenty but I have read many posts about people wishing they went with the 750. This will be a street only ride.

AZ Desert,
It is easy to over carb a motor I would lean toward the 625, I like the 750 on a mild 440. How about a 650 double pump?

I am over thinking and over researching this, I have read everything I could find on this and it always comes down to keep the stock carb set up or go the the aftermarket 600-650 option. It looks like the 625 CFM Street Demon is the way I will be going. If I had just ordered it when I started the research it would be bolted on and burning gas already.

650 Holley single pumper. Vacuum advance on secondary. Pretty happy with it. On my 383. It is an old Demon. Don't look for gas milage. LOL.
