new chrome on shift handle.

Found me a place to put new chrome on my console shift handle. The say about 78 dollars to do it plus 6% for waste disposal and 7.9 Fl. tax. So dose that sound like a good price to you guy's. Was thinking of painting it with the silver coating but the cost to do that and my time. Would get up their. Much higher than what new chrome would be. Russ.

Anything that is subject to wear like that chrome.
I went through this with some interior trim.
Sandblasted and painted it only to have it chromed when it chipped
If you do paint it use automotive paint posoisbly even clear coat.
Anything else is too soft. Like rattlecan.
Can't speak to epoxy thought.

I was speaking of the new silver paint process that look's like chrome. No rattle can. But it would be about 400 for the kit. They showed it being done on Jay Leno show. It was on U tube. It is really Liquid silver. They use it to do Mirrors and now doing every thing with it. Russ.
