Joe Medwick's bird. I saw it when he first dragged it home and it was pretty rough.
I like it because he did it to his liking and not what everybody else thinks it should look like.

The late Nick Satenstein's Daytona. I belive this car will be for sale this summer. Nick passed away a few months ago.

Yea, they're not as big an organization as they once were, but they're still going strong. This is their 68th meet! They do two a year (Memorial Day and Labor Day), so that translates to 34 years!

They had some locals do a small car show at the hotel, so there were some other cars too.
This Studebaker caught my eye.

Great pics, Big. Thanks for sharing.

I liked the white S-Bird with the poverty caps. Sometimes less is more...

What did Joe Medwick do to the bird that prompts you to add that comment? Did he change the color, drivetrain, or interior appointments? Just curious. Nice looking bird.

While he kept the Petty blue, he changed the top and nose to white. There's a few more little personal touches here and there, but none that jump out like the top. None of the Superbirds came with a white top or nose. He has the attitude of "its my car" and its just refreshing to hear that.

Keep in mind, this guy bought a Hemi Challenger SE brand new. It was original paint with custom airbrushing here and there that was done in the early seventies. He drove the car on the street and drag raced it up until a couple years ago when he started a complete resto on the car. How many guys would take a super rare car like that and actually do something with it besides back it in and out of their trailer?

It will probably be used a little easier once its done, but I wouldn't be suprised if it comes out of the paint shop with the airbrushed graphics on it again!

white top and nose graphics are not stock , but they are very cool on a petty colored car. Petty cars are rare so that is probable not stock either

I wondering if this is the same car I saw 3 years ago in carolina Incomplete ???? .

The Birdible is the only car I had ever seen with white nose graphics...so I thought that might be one of the clues; did not know or realize that they all had black vinyl tops - vinyl tops yes to cover the surgery - but not that Henry Ford Black was the only color option...

Dunno if its the same car or not. I saw the car when he first bought it and IIRC its a Petty blue car.
