The Plymouth info has been lost or destroyed is how the story goes.

When I did some research on the topic I found the following:

There were 32,368 RM21 cars made in 1969.
31,397 were 383CI 335HP cars
650 had the 440CI 6pak
356 had the 426CI Hemi.

There were 46,847 RM23 cars made
45,629 were 383
797 were 440
421 were 426

There were 1,890 RM27 cars made
Of which 1,880 were 383
No 440 cars were produced in a convertible
And 10 426Hemi cars of which 6 were automatic and 4 were manual.

Where I found the data they did document the number of manual transmission cars in both RM21 & RM23, but I didn't write it down, to lazy to look again. But it is out there. The purpose of my research was more for the Convertible option, which is what I have.

How many N96 / R4 you won't find any data, that I'm aware.

There were 80,914 Roadrunner made in total.

I found various sources with different numbers though, but these seem to be the most consistent. But I think 69HemiBeep is correct when he says there are no real source's at least directly from Chrysler.

If anyone ever asks me I tell them my car is one of one. Convertible / B7 Jamaica blue metallic / V7B Accent Stripe. If they ask how I know my answer is: "show me another"

my research said about 40K are on the road, but that's an estimate not actual. I wrote to the PA DMV and for a fee they will do the research and tell you how many RM23 /21/27 vehicles are registered in the State. But that would be one State. Then you got our friends in Canada and some yet overseas to account for.

Yes and we have to add the clone's. That people have done in past year's. It would be interesting to see just how many are out their. But sadly we may never know the number's. At least mine is a runner and not a clone. After adding different steering wheel and interior seats and console don't know what number the car will end up being. Guess that the vin number will always indicate the car is an RM21.

For anything 1969 Road Runner production related, ask forum member 69Hurstsc.

Wes Eisenschenk is his name and he wrote the recent book: 1969 Plymouth Road Runner: Muscle Cars In Detail No. 5

He's got a lot of info on our cars and is happy to help.

A12 Registry says that there were 615 RM21 A12s built. 388 4-spd and 227 auto.
A12 Registry says that there were 797 RM23 A12s built. 422 4-spd and 375 auto.
This does not include any Canadian and Export A12s built. Curious that your source has different numbers for the coupes and the same number for the hardtops. No big deal - Just caught my eye.

Yeah, I don't know why the difference in the RM21 number. I'm certainly no authority on the topic. This is just data found on the internet (so it must be true ). There were multiple sources that had the information, some were the same some different. But all within a certain margin of error. I don't recall the source I was quoting from, didn't document that.

That one shows 615 also. So I'm guessing the 650 was just a typo when you scribbled the numbers down. Or maybe your handwriting is like mine; nearly illegible to everyone...including me...
Opps........probably a typo :thankyou:

I have 1800 1969 Road Runners documented in a spreadsheet. We can guesstimate based on the cars logged on some of the options, as I've done with the percentage for paint colors.

Hello, New user here. I would like to try to determine how rare my B5 Blue 1969 convertible Roadrunner is. It has 383, 727 Auto trans, Sure grip rear end, bucket seat, console, blue interior. About all I can find is the figure 2128 convertibles built for 1969. I see from above that it is to some degreee an unsolvable mystery but any help would be appreciated.
