Radiator Surge Tank?

Hey guys, hope all is well. Been really enjoying my new 505/Tremec/Dana build. Also added an FFI fuel injection system. It's a totally different car. Loving it.

Anyway my coolant was low and no apparent leaks. It's been suggested to me to install a surge tank.

Any thoughts? If you use one, any recommendations? Jegs and Summitracing have a few aluminum ones that look good.

Thanks

John

Check Radiator pressure cap. It may be cheaper in the long run. Make sure you have the rite pressure rate on cap. Just a thought. Had a motor that did that bought caps from auto parts stores had same problem. Went to the dealer and they said that those caps where junk not rite pressure. So check with a dealer. Russ. :yesnod:

If the top of your cooling system is higher than the cap, which I doubt you might need one. You probably need a coolant recovery bottle.

Are many of you guys running a setup with a coolant recovery bottle? almost done with my build, and found out that the local strip wont certify the car to run without one. Do they mount pretty easy?
