Is it worth putting a Rear Sway Bar On A 69 RR. Is it worth the improvement in ride if any

Thanks TomRR

AZ Desert,
Change in ride no. Change in handling yes it should make the car corner flater or reduce body roll. Its a crap shoot unless you use factory matched front and rear bars or a front and rear set from the aftermarket that is tested and had good reviews. Just throwing a sway bar on the rear can give you under or over steer problems. But then you might get lucky

Yup! I sat in on a “class” given by Brent from Fatman Fabrications at last years Columbus Goodguys show.

Eye opening! I had been running and winning at autoX with a Tri5 that was set up like a go cart: stiff and with negligible suspension compliance.

Car’s sold and I’ve built a ‘46 Stupidbaker that is using stock rear leafs, traction bars and a Watts link. Explorer rear axle and gas shocks. No sway bars front or rear!

Front is an aftermarket Mustang II, with r & p and Monroe gas shocks that were in kit.

Happy with handling after first autoX with seven passes on new build. Ride is half decent on the road.

Serious autoXing buddy doesn’t run them either on modified SCCA Fiero.

Look before you leap!:thumbsup::beep:
