Six contradictions that sum up the thinking of Progressives, or at least what passes for thinking in those bizarre quarters.

1. America is capitalist and greedy, and yet half the population is subsidized.
2. Half the population is subsidized, yet they regard themselves as victims.
3. They think they are victims, yet their representatives run the government.
4. Their representatives run the government, yet the poor keep getting poorer.
5. The poor keep getting poorer, yet they have things that people in other countries only dream about.
6. They have things that people in other countries only dream about, yet they want America to be more like those other countries.

Am I missing something here?

Some people might say that the country has become divided. I think it's true.

Some people might say that the country is divided into 2 extreme camps. One far to the left and one to the far right. I disagree with that.

In my opinion the left has become EXTREME!!! People that identify with conservative values are not extremists. They are more likely to favor all of the same things that were considered to be mainstream in the past.

There has been a gradual overthrow of our government. Support for 'liberal' or 'progressive' candidates has been bought by promises of free money instead of freedom. Corruption is a bad thing no matter at which level it occurs. The so-called 'little guys' that criticize big corporations by saying they're robbing the country blind are no better if they're milking the system for everything they can get.

The fact that they (Liberals, I don't call them progressives, they swiped that name from Teddy Roosevelt because of the stigma associated with the term Liberal) try to tell their support base that the reason they keep getting poorer is because those darn Republican's in Congress won't let their Messiah initiate their socialist reforms.
