Any Ideas on where to get that foam strip that is really thin. It was placed between the window channel and the trim to seal the trim from water getting in.

Well thanks have not gotten that far yet. I am still on my dash trying to get it painted and installed. Then putting fender's and door's on the car to get the hood on to see if every thing is line's up before painting the hood. Don't know what I will run into hope nothing other than the striker bolt is a little off. Look's like I will have to drill another hole for it and tap it. The latch bolts up good. Man working on this part did not know I would have any problem's. Just keep moving forward is all any one can do. :thumbsup2:

1968 man. It is like I said before dose it ever end????? Your think you have bought all the expensive part's or so you hope then here come's something else you need and your saying WHAT the heck another Grand or so for that part. Well it becomes a money pit for sure. Not to mention I have ordered part's twice thinking I need them. That is when frustration set's in and you start to make a list. Your put it some where you know you can find it then the wife has a cleaning spree and you can't find the list.

Remember to use satin or low gloss paint on the top of that dash, the high gloss paint will blind you . And be sure to install your dash pad before you install the dash its almost impossible to install after the dash is in place. :beep::thumbsup:

It can be done, but ain’t easy. Had my instrument cluster out to install a stock tach and did it then, but most was done blindly and by feel.

Oh yeah that’s what I’d like to get either a Super Bird or a Daytona

He’s pretty lucky to have two of them. He said the blue one was originally yellow , he better have plenty of money if he plans to restore both of them himself , trying to talk him into selling me the 68 petty car , like I need another one .

Ho Man what a find. It is a shame they are just sitting out side with a trap over them. Be care full one of our old buddy's SGT Lee found a commander in Texas and their was a rattle snake under the hood. You never know what might be lurking under these car's. Seems like every time I went to a junk yard had to fight off wasp. What did he think the supper birds where worth. Just to say. Saw a supper bird go for over 200 thou. on BJ this past week. I was thinking what it would take to restore one of those. Also where would you get part's for those cars. Good luck on getting the other petty blue car. :thumbsup2:
