there is so much misinformation on this site anymore. Certain members have to comment on everything whether they know the answer or not. It used to be a great place, bunch of guys sharing information on one of the greatest musclecars ever made. Now it's like a bunch of self absorbed teenage girls. well enough is enough.
Quit trying to bait someone into getting into an argument with you. Must be a pretty miserable existence if that is all that you have to look forward to... Go tend to your FB page. Yes, I can see your divisive posts in this thread even though you have deleted them...
Opinions vary. Nothing on an site bothers me. Some are more knowledgeable than me. Some are not. I just read what everyone has to say. If I don't agree, I just move on. Not that difficult or terrible enough to call this place a toilet...
I like this site, I have fun here. I learn here. I answer questions when I can, but typically wait for one of the big dogs to respond first. As I'd admitted many times, I'm not any kind of expert. This site helped me a lot when I had questions about my car. Sometimes I'll create a post just to stimulate discussion, the 150K A12 post, the What's in your Garage post, the 71 registry post are recent ones. If that is not what this site is all about, I'll just stop all that. No worries.
I don't think this was what Basketcase's post was about... Threads that generate discussion are always a good thing. JMHO.
Ok boomer...often, old folks get set in their ways, very conservative, dont appreciate the new, or younger viewpoint.. .i have learned in life that one can always learn from another if we are willing to listen, so....
1) I don't think that you should address anyone that you don't know as "Boomer". Even if you are a Baby-Boomer yourself. It has become a quasi-chic way of calling someone old and out of touch without actually uttering the words. Just veiled ageism if you ask me. 2) He has 14K posts and is one of the original and most valued (JMHO) members of this site. Since you have no insight as to what he was lamenting, maybe your very first post should have been in the introductions section rather than in this thread doling out an insult and a lecture...
Boomer-lmao, can’t help it, first I ever heard that one. Am one myself and way amazed how I ever got here, love it. No way could I have ever had time to work, as I see it now. I had a road runner when they were brand new, not the best one but it went beep-beep. My only comments are because I already been there and done that type of things. Kept mine a decade until the Lil’ Red Express came along. By then actually the rr was old news. Just love all those times, not then of coarse, had choice swear words for that ‘69. As all things you block out the worst. MHO is all. Me out smelling the roses
I joined this group when getting this runner. The guy's here have been very help full in the rebuild of this runner. Have gotten info that you can not get any where else as well a Pic's to see what was missing on the inner body frame. Some may give bad information by saying that is what they where told or read some where. Fact's are Fact's but I don't blame some one for trying to help another person in restoring these car's. That is why we have a group of people and not just one person feeding us the information. It is good to have other's that have the correct information to keep the correct information out their in stead hearing it from one side only. So I thank all the older member's for their information and all the help they give us guy's that are not up on every thing on these wonder full car's. They are helping keep these car's on the road!!!!!!
