Hi all, Looking to swap out the 14's to 15", so what is the largest, widest 15" tire that will fit on a stock '69 and what width rim would you suggest, as well any suggestions for the front tire size to compliment.
Thanks in advance

Will a 275/60/15 fit alright on a 7" wide rim and what size rubber would you choose for the front?
Thanks

On the rear you can run a 275/60/15 on a 8" wide rim with 4.5" backspacing with no issues whatsoever. One of our members (moparchris) squeezed a 10" rim under a RR at some point in the past. Hopefully he will see this thread and give you the particulars.

I run the set-up described above on the rear of mine with 7" fronts and 4" backspacing. Tire selection is simply a matter of preference. Mine are 235/70/15 IIRC.

Like AcmeA12 said exactly. A 275 will never rub. I did have a 68 that I put a 15x10 with 5.5 backspace and a 295/50r15 BFG on it and it surprisingly rubbed very little. I did have to roll the inner lip on the quarter panel though.

15x8 w/ 2756015s on mine. no issues.

Same here. Fronts are 235-70R15 on 15"x7" Magnums because the 235-70R15 is the same diameter as the 275-60R15's out back.

you should be OK, just run a little less air in it.

the 275 is recommended for 8"-10" rims but I have seen them on 7" rims. They tend to bulge out on 7" rims, though.
