Before leaving the house we gave her a quick bath, she was looking sweet after that! After a year spent in the garage without being covered and being working around and on the car she no longer white but more dusty grey/black lol

Even if I'm not going to use them back, I found it interesting to know.

looking better and better. My only concern is your reuse of the front sway bar. there is usually a size difference between front and rear sway bars, the rear is smaller. If yours are the same this can lead to some strange problems in the suspension.

Front sway bar is a 1 1/4" thick, and the rear is the factory front sway bar didn't take the measurement but it is smaller for sure.

Is that good Quikbird or will this lead to some strange problems in the suspension? The important thing if I understand correctly what you said, is to have different sizes between the front and rear sway bar, with the front sway bar bigger than the rear one correct?

Ok thanks for that RonLiv. Is that compatible with my engine or was I lucky that the engine was running? Harshly but it was moving the car from point A to B though...

I'm really not the guy to answer that question. My understanding is the 383 HP should have the crank from the 440 though. So I see no reason why it wouldn't be OK. If it was rough might be the cam? This was the problem with my car. It had a purple cam and would hardly idle. Putting the stock one back it settled it down. But again, I'm not anywhere near qualified to give you a solid answer.

Let us know what the machines say. Those cylinder wall's look pretty good. No pitting or any scratches that I could see. Once he runs the mic's the hole cylinder that will tell the story. :thumbsup2:

I think it was rough due to a pushrod. When we torn apart the engine and remove the cylinder heads, we found out that one of the pushrod (can't remember if it was the exhaust one or intake one) on cylinder 3 was longer than the 7 others... And probably the ignition and the carb lol everything was trash lol
Now I am laughing but when I first saw the car in person I didn't ^^
Anyway, thanks for your input.

Thanks Quickbird I'll let you know after the first ride but we have to wait till 2020 at least lol

You're right Russ, those cylinder walls look great now just have to wait for the machine shop. We will bring the engine to the guy next week on Saturday 23.
Can't wait for the engine build!

One more news, if I believe what the paint shop said, they start working on the bird for so it should moves the things forward.

Ha! Now that you mention that, 3 of my push rods were bent and the fuel pump push rod caused me all kinds of headaches trying to diagnose why I wasn't getting any fuel into the carb. Thanks to the guys on this page, they alerted me to check, sure enough it was to short. I replaced it and the fuel problem went away. In the meantime I went through three fuel pumps thinking they were the problem. The one that was on it, another one, then finally put a Hemi Fuel pump on it, and its still there, I tell everyone I have a hemi now.

Sometimes the smallest stuff can cause the biggest problems but finally you've sorted out the problem and you have a "Hemi" lol

this car is neck-and-neck with Russ's as the longest-running, most enthralling project on this site. So good to see so much great work being done to save these birds.
