Anybody have a good suggestion for finding touchup paint? I have tried local dealer, body shops and online.
My search is possibly easier since I'm looking for Hemi Orange. But so far, no luck.
Original paint or repaint? A repaint would be easy if you could find out the brand then look up the mix. Old paint is a crap shoot, you could go to a body shop that uses PPG paints and have them mix up some 2186 it might match.
The paint cameras are just a tool to get a experienced paint tinter close. They spit out a "known" formula that is close. Then the talented person is required. It may take some doing. But enough trips to local paint suppliers will get you what u are looking for.
What are you touching up Anthony. Scratches or chips. With base coat and clear coat make's it a problem to fade in paint. Like every one say's fade of the paint is the biggest problem. Have knocked chips out of my rocker on a ford I have and air brushed the area in and clear coated it after word's. It makes it a hard job but got close. Just on the rocker that is not seen that much. Did not like seeing primer their exposed. Good luck my friend.
