it has a 440 Not original its a 383 car. motor was rebuilt many years ago 30 over mild cam runs awesome maybe 30k miles on motor.
has a 700r4 tranny but I have a good 727 tranny...
Just a follow up.
I drove my RR all over today and for a 45 minutes on the long island expressway in bumper to bumper traffic on my way to the Oyster Bay cruise night. 90+ temp outside the engine temp almost hit 200 in traffic but didnt. and i am glad to say for sure my 2 year long fuel...
Ok found this on another site it says on 440HP motors and 426Hemi motors a fuel vapor seperator is used to prevent vapor lock like you said.

last summer when i had this problem i tried a Holly blue pump by the tank, and a regulator at the fire wall and still had the problem. then a friend lent me his holly red to try without a regulator and still had the problem.
I didn't think of a the carb insulator cause i have a 1/4" baseplate...
