I have all but exhausted my search efforts, unfortunately.

Someone somewhere took this fender tag pic and sent it to Wes from the Lost Musclecars FB group and road runner registry. Wes doesn't know who sent him the pic b/c he gets sent so many...not necessarily from the car's owner. This tag pic is the exact car I'm looking for.

Cast in '67 for a '68 model car, hence the "D". The 2nd "4" was probably very lightly stamped, or not at all.

Herman Smith Jr. is who I'm looking for. His dad is Herman Smith Sr. or Sonny.

If it has a Holley carb w/ a choke on it, there will be a list number stamped on it. That number will tell you what size carb it is. Personally, I'd keep the Torker intake and work on some carb tuning. A Performer intake isn't much better than a stock manifold, if at all. A Performer RPM would...
