- In 1969, after the service, i purchased a new 1969 dodge charge, from Ed Carpenter dodge in wayne michigan...just before i closed the deal, the salesman said, hey, i want to show u something..he took me around the side of the dealership, where ten long ugly dodge chargers were lined up...pointed noses and big air damns on the back,..he said i will give u one of those for the same price as your charger..i said No Thanks!..no self respecting street racer would be caught dead in one of those things!..went home with my triple black new charger and loved it!
