1969 Road Runner bucket seat question

Good point! Maybe there is an assembly manual or something. I just don't' have that info at home.

    1969 Road Runner console wiring

Ohhhh, that helps a lot! You have way more stuff in that kick panel than I do. I figured that the mating connector had to be in that area so this confirms my harness is not correct. I can make the lights work by running a hot wire from the dome light circuit to the orange terminal so maybe...

    1969 Road Runner console wiring

Since I can't find it anywhere near by I'm thinking it got left out during my wiring fiasco.

    Pilot shaft bushing

Yep, if the hole isn't drilled deep enough you will need to take an abrasive wheel and clip the end of the input shaft off. Problem is I don't recall how much but it's significant and the result is the pilot bushing rids on the very tip. The cranks are usually bored to fit the bushing (.955"...

    1969 Road Runner console wiring

My car originally came as a 4 spd console and I was wondering if I'm missing the mating connector to the console wiring (see pic showing six pin connector). This has been such a long drawn out project and I know I had to make some harness repairs and could have very well caused my own problem...

1969 Road Runner bucket seat question

It's been a while since I took these apart and can't remember the details. I have four shoulder bolts that attach the seat back to the bottom but only two have a large OD metal clad rubber washer. The other two have nothing. From the marking on the washer it appears they go on the outside of...

    ?? What size carb??

69 383's typically came with an AVS and the CFM rating was likely in the 570 CFM range. From what I know Carter did not flow their carbs the same way as Holly did (wet flow vs. dry flow) and never really published CFM numbers for OEM stuff.

    New Banner!

If the banner refers to the upper left standing bird pic with road runner spelled out I like it. What's not to like? It's the real deck lid bird and correct font. In all fairness I have no idea what the old banner was but overall I like the look of the site. Out of all the forums that are...

Hemi Overdrive 4 Speed - Jamie Passon

I have built two Passon 4 spd OD tranny's and currently have one in my 66 hemi Charger. Both of my tranny's were big bearing cases to begin with so it was a direct swap for me. You can certainly put the OD gear set in a small bearing case but will need the appropriate front bearing retainer...

    avs carb vacuum ports

Regarding the manifold vac at the ported port.. You need to advance your timing and drop the idle accordingly. Back off the idle speed screw until the throttle plates are fully seated then crank it in 1.5-2 turns. Start the car and see where your idle speed is. I will guess it's barely...
